
Mongolian Beef Recipe
What a fantastic Mongolian Beef Recipe made with homemade sauce and flank steak. The only ingredient I needed to buy was the flank steak! You should have most of the ingredients right in your pantry.

Mongolian Beef Recipe
- 1 Pound of Flank Steak
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon of Fresh Minced Ginger
- 1 tablespoon of Fresh Minced Garlic
- 1/2 cup of Soy Sauce
- 1/2 cup of Water
- 2/3 cup of Dark Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cup of Corn Starch
- 3 Scallions (Green Onions green part only, sliced)
- Heat two tablespoon’s of oil in a small sauce pot.
- Add the fresh ginger and garlic; sauté about 2 minutes.
- Stir in the soy sauce and water.
- Stir in the brown sugar and turn up the heat to medium.
- Boil for 3 minutes and set aside.
- Slice the flank steak against the grain, in about a quarter of an inch wide pieces.
- Toss the steak in the corn starch and shake off excess.
- In a large sauté pan or wok, heat 1/4 cup of oil.
- Add the steak to the hot oil and sear each side of the steak.
- Remove the steak from the pan and transfer to a plate covered with a paper towel.
- Pour the prepared sauce in the sauté pan, add the steak, boil for around 2 minutes.
- Stir in the fresh scallions.
Serve this delicious Mongolian Beef over your favorite Rice!
