
Honey Baked Chicken
Chicken baked with honey is perhaps one of the most delicious chicken dishes there is. There is not a family member nor nearby neighbor that isn’t going to love this chicken.
Chicken legs are still a great choice when it comes to cooking chicken because it will save you tons of money at the grocery store, plus you get the most tender and delicious chicken.
Just 2lbs. of chicken legs cost us only about $3.25. That leaves plenty leftover for a great tasting side dish filled with veggies.
We are thinking rice baked with broccoli and cheese! A family of 4 could easily eat for under $10.00.
This recipe uses 6 meaty chicken legs which weighs close to 2 lbs. We make a delicious baste using honey, soy, vinegar and a dash of garlic salt. YUM!
This sauce is cooked on low for about 10 minutes until it starts to thicken. While the sauce is cooking, lay your chicken pieces on a baking sheet and lightly salt & pepper. When the sauce has thickened, baste both sides of the chicken using a brush.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Spray a cooking sheet with non stick spray or line with foil. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Pull the chicken out of the oven once halfway during cooking and baste on both sides.
Honey Baked Chicken
- 2 lbs. chicken legs
- salt & pepper
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Mix honey, soy sauce, vinegar and garlic salt in a small sauce pan.
- Bring to a light boil; reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring often.
- Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray or line with foil.
- Lightly salt & pepper both sides of the chicken legs.
- Using a brush, baste both sides of the chicken with honey sauce.
- Save about 1/4 of the sauce to baste during cooking.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, removing chicken once to baste.
