
Sauteed Mushrooms Made Easy – Make The Best Sauteed Mushroom Recipe in Your Skillet!
Sauteed Mushrooms are an easy and delicious way to get more flavor into your foods and more nutrients in your diet.
Mushrooms are very low in fat and calories, yet high in nutrition.
Serve sauteed mushrooms as a simple side dish or an addition to omelettes, baked potatoes or a topping for your favorite steak.
Sauteed mushrooms also makes for a great pizza topping that is also healthy and low in fat.
When sauteing the mighty mushroom, add onions, plenty of garlic, and of course some splashes of Worcestershire Sauce. Soy sauce works just as well if you don’t have any Worcestershire on hand or a mixture of both.

What You Need for Sauteed Mushrooms –
- 1 container of whole mushrooms (save money by purchasing whole mushrooms and slicing them yourself) Use white mushrooms or a combination of white and Baby Bella mushrooms.
- Butter and olive oil (2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon oil)
- Salt & pepper
- Worcestershire sauce (about 1/2 tablespoon is fine)
- Soy Sauce (about 1/2 tablespoon is fine)
Clean those Mushrooms – Gently wipe debris off mushrooms using a slightly damp paper towel. Cut mushrooms into slices using a sharp knife. Heat butter and oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add mushrooms and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Salt and pepper mushrooms after 2 minutes and sprinkle with Worcestershire and soy sauce. Lower heat and let mushrooms cook for about 5 -8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
*If you are adding onions and garlic, add the them to the skillet along with the mushrooms. Make sure both are diced rather fine.

When you bring your mushrooms home from the grocery store, they will last about a week in the refrigerator. To make your mushrooms quicker to cook with, have mushrooms wiped clean, sliced and stored in a air-tight container or baggie.
