- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
- Mix the olive oil, soy, sauce, and minced garlic together in a small cup.
- Place ground turkey in a medium sized bowl and pour olive oil mixture over turkey.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over turkey then mix gently using your hands.
- Mix in the cheddar cheese and place turkey in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes to chill.
- Form 4 generous patties and pan fry or grill.
- Pan Fry: Heat about 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet on medium to high heat. Cook the turkey burgers until golden brown (about 3 minutes.) Flip the burgers and cook the same way until the other side is golden brown. Reduce heat and let burgers cook for about 3-4 minutes or until cooked through.
- Grilled: Lightly oil your grill before cooking turkey patties. Place turkey patties on the grill and sear them until they are browned on both sides. Lower the heat on the grill and continue cooking for about 5-6 minutes or until cooked through.
