- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
- 2 (15 oz.) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Cook beef with onions and garlic in a medium skillet. Salt & pepper as it cooks. Drain if necessary.

Place the cooked beef mixture and remaining ingredients in your slow cooker/crock pot and cook on high for 3 hours or on low for about 6 hours.
